Longest Railway Station Name In The World

No kidding. This is a true story. This Welsh town on the island of Anglesey is only known due to the fact that it has a very long name, and is the longest railway station name in Britain, and probably the longest domain name in the world.

Originally called Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, which means 'The Mary church by the pool near the white hazels' the village was renamed in the 19th Century.

This was around the time when the railway was built between Chester and Holyhead at the beginning of the 1850s. A local committee was put together to try and encourage trains, travellers and 19th Century tourists to stop at the village in order to help develop the village as a commercial and tourist centre. It is believed that the name was invented by a cobbler from Menai Bridge; little did he know that he had implemented one of the most successful tourist marketing plans of all time.

Today the village is signposted as Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and is known to locals as Llanfairpwll or Llanfair. Don't ask me how to pronounce it correctly coz I don't even know how to read that.

Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. The name translates as 'St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave'. Cool eh?

Busy Week

I had a very busy week. Less time to spend with my sweetheart but as usual he never complaint as he understand me so well. Since coming back from Singapore early this month my schedule totally change. I get so busy everyday. I'm alert about this and ready for it but more unexpected thing happen in my life. More work, more responsibility, more burden, more problem.

This morning I arrived quite late because of traffic jam due to accident. Then, when I arrived, by the time I wanna use my pc, it's attacked by virus. It makes all programs opened without me clicking on it. Strange but our technician tried very hard to handle that. Lucky I backup my data everyday before leave. If not it might drive me crazy.

As I said before in previous articles, some people might be lucky in love and I'm one of them. It has been a wonderful time (one year and four months) we spent day and night loving and thinking about each other. I love you, honey, for being such a wonderful man.

Husband, Not Every Man Is Qualified

Men nowadays are pretty lucky to have an independent wife as their partner. But do they know how to appreciate their wife? Maybe some know that and some just too egoistic. Lucky for a wife who have a loving husband that understand their needs. For those who happen to get married with not so nice husband (can also be called a jerk) will never know how wonderful marriage is for the rest of her life.

I'm not gonna talk about a good husband. But I wanna focused on a bad one. Because why? Because I can't understand a husband that ask his wife to be tolerate and consider about monthly expenses by saying that his wife should work to help him, but when come to housework, wife have to do totally everything.

This clearly show how weak men are. Men do less work and women do more work. I wonder if this couple have kids, live in a house where his dad happen to be so lazy. And of course mom need to do much more housework with kids around. This is not gonna be a good example to the children. After all, it seems like how unfair a man can be. I guess these kind of men are just not qualified to have a wife. They should just live alone for the rest of their live. If no one wanna take care of him when he gets old. Who cares? He should learn how to care other people first before he wants people to care for them.

I always dream of having own business with my sweetheart. Posted by Hello

New Job, New Challenge

Once I listed down all I need to do as a person who incharged of Human Resources, oh my, it's a lot. Not to say that this company have no any filing about HR. We do. But to implement them as a system it's not an easy work. Everything need to be computerised. From the staff start apply job here until leave this company.

I begin to look everything in detail. The more I go deeper, the more it gets complicated but at one point I noticed how much this job help me to understand more about people and try to give as much as I can so that I will able to develop more skill workers in this company. It's tiring but when I look at positive way, it's a very wonderful job.

I will try my best to complete all this. I was given until end of this year but I will try to finish it as soon as I could. I'm a person who really can't wait to see the results. It motivates me to work faster. I hope everything will be great.

My Job, My Education, My Home

This month gonna be pretty busy for me. As I am now will be fully taking care of Human Resources area. The good thing is, I may not doing accounting and financing stuff anymore. I know Human Resource is a very challenging job too. I need to know what kind of training the staff need in order to add their skills, so that they can be very efficient at work.

I also have to learn Mandarin language. Not sure when to start. I still have difficulties in English, now I need to study Mandarin, which is, hmmm, well, think positive (I'm such a lazy woman). I know I won't have enough time but learning new language is good, too.

I will also gonna have some discussion about my novel. I'm not sure whether the person I'm gonna meet will be interested with what I've wrote. I noticed I didn't write so much nowadays as I'm so busy with house cleaning and try to make the house which I rent, so that it can be a better place to live. I just want a clean, simple and nice environment. I tried to avoid adding more furnitures. But I love to play with colours on the wall. Not too colourful, of course.

Anakin Skywalker @ Darth Vader Posted by Hello

Star Wars Episode III, The Best Film In The Series

I watched Star Wars with my sweetheart. It's such a successful story. Now I think of watching each movie again from the first episode to sixth. Wow, needs about 12 hours to finish that all. From The Phantom Menace to Attack Of The Clones followed by Revenge Of The Sith. Then continue to A New Hope, Return Of The Jedi and Empire Strikes Back.

It's such a unique story where you already knew the ending about 20 years ago before you start to know how it begin. George Lucas has made the best touch in this Episode III. I guess it's the best Star Wars series among all. Maybe it's because of the special effect that they use.

In this film we noticed how smart R2-D2 is. We also knew that Darth Vader was actually a man with great spirit who loves his wife so much. And we also noticed that during Padme's funeral, it seems like she's still pregnant which actually it was Jedi's trick to make sure enemy think that Darth Vader's children died.

Mawi, another nasyid singer! Posted by Hello

Mawi, Akademi Fantasia 3

I was so happy to know that Mawi has been selected as one of the Akademi Fantasia 3 finalist. I wonder why they didn't choose Mawi at first. He's good. He does have a good voice. Maybe they think that Mawi might have difficulties to mix around with girls especially during dance class. But they invite him at last, because viewers really want him to be in the list.

I do respect Mawi's background. It's something new to make him get involve in this contest. If he behave well, he will be another good role model as a performer in Malaysian industry. This is what we want. I do not want a singer who caught in a pub for their bad behaviour or get arrested for selling drugs.

I wish Mawi will always be a good example to our new generation especially to all teenagers nowadays. Also to show that, in Islam, people have freedom to do what they want but there is always a guideline. And I guess this is what our Muslim teenagers are lack of. They always think, freedom is when they can do everything they want, which is very wrong.

Singapore, Nice Place To Visit

Spending about 11 days in Singapore was a wonderful experience to me. Nice place to visit, meeting all wonderful people; Musica, Victoria, Jackee, Nadiah, Anny and Steve (save the best for last) make my trip to Singapore such a great moment in my life.

Well, of course I still love my country, as our food, transport or anything are much cheaper, our food are not too spicy (most Singapore food are spicy, hard to believe but it is, anyway the taste is really marvellous). One thing I really love about Singapore is safety. Singapore is not my hometown and I have not been in Singapore for about ten years but feel so safe walking around. I do enjoy walking but safety is so important to me, that I almost not doing that since I start working.

I'm so crazy about doing this that I sometimes, avoid using MRT eventhough this mass rapid transit provide such an excellent service. I know I may visit Singapore again. I really enjoy spending time there.
